ABB Motor Starter
Manual motor starters, also known as motor protection circuit breakers (MPCBs) or manual motor protectors (MMPs), are electromechanical protection devices for the main circuit. They are mainly used to switch motors ON/OFF manually and to provide fuseless protection against short-circuit, overload and phase failures. Fuseless protection saves costs, space and ensures a quick reaction under short-circuit condition by switching the motor off within milliseconds. Starter combinations are setup together with contactors and are available with screw or Push-in Spring terminals.

FEATURES
Distinctive features Reduction of energy costs with minimum impact. The loads are disconnected from the power supply for short periods, in the minimum number necessary and in a fixed order of priority, enabling power consumption peaks to be limited. This allows the contract drawn up with the energy provider to be renegotiated, reducing the power allocated, with a consequent reduction in total energy costs. Power limited only when necessary. Ekip Power Controller manages up to four different time bands: it is therefore possible to respect a particular power limit according to whether it is during the day (peak) or night (off peak). In this way, consumption during the day when rates are at their highest can be limited. Simple to install. Ekip Power Controller allows the installation to be managed efficiently with a simple architecture. Thanks to a patented design, it is sufficient to measure the total power of the installation without having to measure the power consumed by each load. Installation costs and times are thereby reduced to a minimum. Ready to use. Ekip Power Controller does not require the writing, implementation and testing of complicated programmes for PLC or computer because the logic has already been implemented in the protection unit and is ready to use; it is sufficient to set the installation parameters from a smartphone or directly from the circuit-breaker display. Improvement of the efficiency of the electrical system. Ekip Power Controller significantly helps to flatten the load curve, limiting the use of peaking power plants in favour of base load power plants with greater efficiency

ABB OPR
During a storm, when propagation field conditions are favorable, an OPR ESE air terminal will generate an upward leader. This upward leader from the OPR tip propagates towards the downward leader from the cloud.
The emission of an early streamer to a lightning event delivers a beneficial triggering time compared to a single rod air terminal exposed to the same conditions. This in turn drives the enhanced performance and protective distance achievable by ESE devices.
The beneficial triggering time is determined as the average time gained at the moment of sparkover, with efficiency confirmed by high-voltage laboratory testing. All ESE tests are defined in Annex C of the French standard NF C 17-102 (2011 Version).
This beneficial triggering makes OPR air terminals especially effective for the protection of industrial sites, administrative or public buildings, monuments and open-air sites such as sports grounds.Categories: ABB, Lightning Protection -
ABB MCB
Miniature circuit breakers (MCBs) ensure electrical safety in homes, offices and other buildings as well as for industrial applications by protecting electrical installations against overloads and short circuits. Once a fault is detected, the miniature circuit breaker automatically switches off the electrical circuit to prevent damage to wires and to avoid the risk of fire. Warranting reliability and safety for people and assets, MCBs are equipped with two tripping mechanisms: the delayed thermal tripping mechanism for overload protection and the magnetic tripping mechanism for short circuit protection.
System pro M compact®
With System pro M compact® ABB offers an extra-wide and complete range of miniature circuit breakers to cover most applications and markets. Our products are compliant to worldwide product standards (IEC, UL, CSA). With over 90 years of experience of innovation in the electrical sector, we offer established and certified quality.
